Milestones

1984 Foundation of Fémszolg Ltd., with 15+1 members. Machining, tool manufacturing and general mechanical activities.
1989 The scope of our activities is expanded by engineering projects. Manufacturing takes place in five facilities.
A part of MEZŐGÉP’s number one manufacturing facility is purchased (part of our current premises). F and F Ltd. is founded and later shut down due to several company name similarities.
1990 Focused on tool and machine part manufacturing, Gravitás Ltd. is founded.
1993 Gravitás 2000 Ltd. is founded.
1996/04 The first quality assurance system is introduced (ISO9001).
1997 Another part of MEZŐGÉP’s facilities in purchased.
1997/08 The first HSM (high speed machining) machining center (Matsuura MC510) is installed.
2000 Foundation of US-Hungarian joint venture; the American part was later acquired.
2001 Creation of STEEL FACTORY Ltd.
Construction and inauguration of a new CNC production hall.
2003 Beginning of cooperation with Swedish company ELEKTA.
2004 Complete organizational restructuring.
2008  

Full renovation and reconstruction of the company’s production and service areas, establishment of a new energy system, common areas and storage facilities.

2001/04 Launch of medical machine unit and part production. Start of cooperation with ELEKTA (Ikarus Engineering) UK.
2001/07 Installation of the first 5-axis machining center (Mori_Seiki GV 503).
2001/09 Starting in September, the construction and later the inauguration of a new production hall.
2006 Introduction of ISO 14001:2005 environmental management standard.
2007 Launch of JOBDISPO production scheduling system.
2008/03 Introduction of ISO 13485:2003 standard for medical devices.
 

 

2008/12

End of the nearly 3 year-long reconstruction period. New production halls were built and all the old buildings got fully renovated.As a result of the all-encompassing renovation, the electric network, the ventilation systems and IT network were also revamped.

 

The EDEL CYPORT 3015 5+-axis HSM machining center (table size: 3000x 1500×1000 mm) acquired by a successful KMOP tender was installed in December 2008.

2009/01 The NC directed “Thinklaser” device with a workspace of 700x700x200 mm was installed on 20 January 2009. The ~90W output, lamp pumped YAG laser is primarily used for surface structuring, deep engraving and marking.We have been using the OKAMOTO UPZ210Li profile grinding machine for the execution of precision profile grinding tasks since the end of January 2009. The device – fitted with a CCD camera and a workspace of 210x110x210 – is suitable for the precision machining of hard metal and hardened steel.
2009/05 Introduction of the AS 9100:2008 aerospace quality system standard.
2010/07 We started using the STUDER S33 CNC cylindrical grinding machine in June 2010 in order to implement precision cylindrical grinding tasks.
2011/12  

Acquired as a result of a successful KMOP tender:

– DMF 260 5-axis machining center
– Matsuura MX-520 5-axis machining center,

– MEBAeco 335A PLC sawing machine,
– Micro-hite DCC measuring machine and the
– PCDMIS CAD++ measuring program, which has significantly improved our machining competences

 

 

2012/02

Inauguration of the new premises under 1/D Fáy street and the new wire hall. 

Installation of 14 premium category AG400L wire EDM machines.

2012/08 Inauguration of our new plant „G2” (1/D Fáy street).
2012/12 In December 2012 we installed a DMG DMU 85FD 5-axis mill-turn machining center.
2013/04 Inauguration of our new plant „G3” (4 Fáy street).
2013/06 In June 2013 we installed a DMG DMU50 5-axis machining center primarily for training purposes.
2013/7 Opening of our training center, launch of the first 5-axis machine operator and programming course.
2013/08 In August 2013 we installed our high precision YASDA YBM Vi40 5-axis machining center.
2013/11 Acquired and installed as a result of a successful KMOP tender:- SLC 600 8-axis wire EDM machine,
– SLC 400 5-axis wire EDM machine
2014/10 Installation of the second DOOSAN DNM500 4-axis machining center.
2015/03 In order to extend our opportunities in the field of laser marking and engraving, a FOBA M2000B fibre laser equipment was installed.
2015/09 Expansion of the training center’s machine park with an ecoMill 635, and Siemens 840D control device.
